CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTE
Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) is targeting illegal dumpers in Victoria’s north-west with an advertising campaign highlighting the costs and risks of illegally dumping construction and demolition (C&D) waste.
Set to run until December, the campaign supports the work of EPA’s Illegal Dumping Strikeforce Program and aims to increase awareness of the legal requirements for managing C&D waste materials such as bricks, timber, asbestos and contaminated soil. It’s estimated more than 350,000 tonnes of C&D waste is illegally dumped across the state every year – posing risks to the environment, human health and the economy.
