Another successful year for Student Environment Days (SED)

The last of our Student Environment Days for 2017 was held at Wangaratta in late October.  It was another successful day in which 11 high caliber hands-on workshops were presented  to around 180 students from 6 schools.

It was interesting to note that all the Year 10 Science students from Galen College who presented on the day, had themselves been previously involved in Student Environment Days as primary school students, so were very enthusiastic about taking part in this project from a presenter perspective.

I would like to particularly thank the Rural City of Wangaratta for their support of this day which also saw the introduction of the SEED Kids Swap Shop during lunchtime, encouraging students to swap an item they no longer wanted with another item, giving it a new life.”
