This festive season make the most of your leftovers and reduce the amount of food being wasted.

Not only will this save you money, time and stop good food from going to waste, it’s also a great way to help reduce the impacts of climate change.


  • To make the most of your leftovers, keep your fridge between 1-3°C and your freezer minus 18°C.
  • Labelling your food and storing it in clear containers will help you decide which meal to eat later!
  • Make a habit of moving foods that need to be used up to the front of the fridge to give them the best chance of being eaten.
  • Not sure if you can eat that food in the next 3-4 days? Pop it in the freezer to avoid wasting it.
  • Make servings for later.
